Our new favorite Ferrvor Affair star this month is the lovely and talented fellow midwesterner; Danielle Campbell. She is grazing this months cover which was recently shot by Kaleb Khu at the rooftop of one of our favorite boutique hotels, the Chamberlain in West Hollywood.

To say the least, Campbell is a charming, albeit exciting actress to work with who was first ‘discovered’ at a hair salon at the age of 10, which is when her career got it’s kick start. A few years later, she got her first break as a guest star on Prison Break along with the nationwide commercial Build-A-Bear Workshop. She went on to co-star in the television series The Originals and in Disney’s Original Movie, StarStruck as Jessica Olson and the Disney film Prom as Simone Daniels. Most recently she played herself, slicing and dicing up some tasty dishes in the ever so popular Hell’s Kitchen.

As for the future, Campbell is keeping very busy. She’s all set to play Maddy in the 2017 Fine Brothers production’s F*&% the Prom and recently joined first-time feature director Miranda Bailey’s comedy, You Can Choose Your Family from Imagine Entertainment and Cold Iron Pictures. The film is in production in New York City and stars comedian Jim Gaffigan, Anna Gunn, Samantha Mathis, Alex Karpovsky and Logan Miller.

After her shoot we do what we usually do and sat down with Danielle to talk about her life, her inspirations, dislikes and likes, but most importantly what gets her excited about being Danielle Campbell.

Danielle, can you describe your passions in one short sentence?
I love good food, good company, new places & adventure.

What do you think defines sexiness in a woman?
Confidence every time!

What Gentlemanly quality do you think a man should have?
Courtesy and respect are important to me. I and love someone I can joke around with.

What is your definition of Love?
To me love is one of the hardest things to define because it comes in so many different forms – family, friendship, and then there’s falling in love….  Love is one of the most incredible mysteries we have.

We noticed you are now resident in Los Angeles. What’s the favorite part of living here so far?
There is always something to do! I love being outside – the beach, hiking, farmers markets, the outdoor concerts and the galleries.

If we are tagging along on a night out on the town with you, where would you go and what would we do?
I would be out with a group of friends, enjoying a long dinner at an outdoor restaurant somewhere with amazing food and wine. And a live band with some dancing to top it off!

Being that you’re a role model, what’s your perspective on how young women like yourself should carry themselves in today’s crazy world?
My biggest thing is being confident in who you are. There are so many facets of the world telling you to change the way you look, or how you feel or love. But at the end of it all, I think the hardest yet most important thing to so is be true to yourself. Don’t be afraid to do the things that make you happy, and surround yourself with people who make you a better person.

You have been out and about at various fashion events lately. How did you get started in the fashion world? Was it something you always imagined doing or was it something you discovered along the way?
Fashion is something I have always loved and wanted to dive into. I really started getting involved this year after finally attending my first fashion week. I’ve always loved seeing how any one person can use clothes for self-expression and not being limited to a single trend. Fashion is self description for how you feel and what makes you feel confident.

What’s your go-to style and designer?
My style is still evolving and that is my favorite description of it. Depending on the day, I could be chic, edgy, girly, sporty.

What’s your dream role to portray?
I would love a role in a period piece.  I particularly like the 40’s period with its history and fashion.

Who or what would you be?
I think playing a strong woman during the civil war would be amazing.

If you could turn back time a say one thing to your younger self, what would you tell her?
Everyone else’s opinion does not matter.  Listen to your own.

Is there a positive motto or some words of wisdom that you live by to guide you on some of the tougher days?
For me, a positive attitude makes a world of difference so I try hard to get into the right headspace.  I also don’t beat myself up when I am having a tough day.  It happens to everyone.

Speaking of tough days, how do you cope with those kinds of days?
I’m close with my family and friends and talk with them.  I find it’s helpful to vent and lean on those I trust.  Exercise, getting outdoors, and sometimes a glass of wine can help too.

Do you have any favorite quotes you live by or words of inspiration for your fans?
A favorite quote of mine is “Surround yourself with people who make you hungry for life, touch your heart and nourish your soul.”

What is next for Danielle Campbell’s amazing journey?
I’m currently filming a movie in NYC and working with an amazing team.

Any last words before we say goodbye?
Live, love, laugh and enjoy the ride.
